General Labour - Production/Assembly

    Reporting to the Production Supervisor and working at our Waterloo facility, Production/Assembly workers are responsible for fabrication and assembly of various parts and products to meet production plan.  These are full time permanent positions with eligibility to participate in our benefits program after 90 days.
    • Clean and complete regular safety inspections of tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
    • Work collaboratively with production team members under direction of Production Supervisor and Team Leads to fabricate hockey dasher boards, indoor soccer panels, and other custom parts as required.
    • Inspect fabricated parts for compliance to quality standards and complete all required paperwork.
    Knowledge, Experience, and/or Technical Skills:

    • Previous work experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment an asset.
    • Previous fabrication experience with plastics/acrylic, aluminum, or steel is an asset.
    • Hands-on with mechanical aptitude and familiarity with operating power tools such as drills, routers, and saws and hand tools such as tape measures, clamps and utility knives.
    • Must be able to read and interpret engineering shop drawings in order to fabricate parts to correct dimensions.
    • Successful candidates often have experience in carpentry, framing/drywall, or construction.

    • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
    • Excellent organizational skills in a multi-tasking environment with attention to detail.
    • Results-oriented individual with strong team working ability and desire to learn.
    • Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must assist in team lifts for heavier or awkward parts.
    • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and power tools.
    • PPE requirement – CSA green safety shoes/boots, protective eyewear (provided), gloves (provided) and hearing protection (provided).
    • Opportunities currently available on all shifts. Majority of training will occur on dayshift before transferring to other shifts.
    • Overtime available through extended shift hours and/or additional shifts on weekends.

    General Labour - CNC Operator

      Reporting to the Production Supervisor and working at our Waterloo facility, the CNC operator is responsible for machining and hand trimming/deburring various thicknesses of HDPE and acrylic on our 3-axis KOMO router table. These are full time permanent positions with eligibility to participate in our benefits program after 90 days.
      Clean and complete regular safety inspections of tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
      Work collaboratively with production team members under direction of Production Supervisor and Team Leads to fabricate parts as required.
      Inspect fabricated parts for compliance to quality standards and complete all required paperwork.
      Knowledge, Experience, and/or Technical Skills:

      Previous CNC operation or work experience in a manufacturing environment an asset.  No programming is required.  Candidate must be able to select correct pre-made programs from computer network and download to CNC machine.
      Previous experience in a material handling role and/or a forklift licence is an asset, but not a requirement.
      Hands-on with mechanical aptitude and familiarity with operating equipment such as saws, shapers, and routers as well as hand tools such as tape measures and utility/deburring knives.
      Must be able to read and interpret engineering shop drawings in order to fabricate parts to correct dimensions.

      General Labour - Metal Prep/Fabrication

        Reporting to the Production Supervisor and working at our Waterloo facility, metal prep/fab workers are responsible for cutting, bending, milling, and punching both aluminum and steel to fabricate various parts as well as grinding welds.  These are full time permanent positions with eligibility to participate in our benefits program after 90 days.
        Clean and complete regular safety inspections of tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
        Work collaboratively with production team members under direction of Production Supervisor and Team Leads to fabricate parts as required.
        Inspect fabricated parts for compliance to quality standards and complete all required paperwork.
        Knowledge, Experience, and/or Technical Skills:

        Previous work experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment an asset.
        Hands-on with mechanical aptitude and familiarity with operating equipment such as benders, milling machines, ironworkers, punches, saws, and grinders as well as hand tools such as tape measures, clamps, and utility knives.
        Must be able to read and interpret engineering shop drawings in order to fabricate parts to correct dimensions.

        • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
        • Excellent organizational skills in a multi-tasking environment with attention to detail.
        • Results-oriented individual with strong team working ability and desire to learn.
        Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must assist in team lifts for heavier or awkward parts.

        Welder

          Reporting to the Production Supervisor and working at our Waterloo facility, a welder is responsible for accurately fitting, welding and grinding both aluminum and steel to conform to specifications on engineering drawings.  These are full time permanent positions with eligibility to participate in our benefits program after 90 days.
          Clean and complete regular safety inspections of tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
          Work collaboratively with production team members under direction of Production Supervisor and Team Leads to fit, weld and grind parts and frames for downstream processing.
          • Complete all required paperwork accurately and completely.
          Knowledge, Experience, and/or Technical Skills:

          Previous fitting/grinding/welding experience (MIG/TIG) with aluminum and steel is a requirement.  A welding ticket is an asset but not required.
          Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and fit/fabricate to required tolerances.

          • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
          • Excellent organizational skills in a multi-tasking environment with attention to detail.
          • Results-oriented individual with strong team working ability and desire to learn.
